In a captivating display of talent at the PNC Championship, Tiger Woods and his son Charlie showcased their golf prowess, finishing tied-fifth in the 20-team field. The event, known for bringing together past major and Players Championship winners with their family members, unfolded in a thrilling 36-hole scramble contest at the Ritz-Carlton Club in Florida.

The Woods duo, making their fourth appearance in the competition, delivered a stellar final-round performance, carding an impressive 11-under 61. Their round featured an eagle and nine birdies, highlighting their synergy on the course. Team Woods found themselves among the top finishers, concluding the tournament at 19 under, six strokes behind the victorious Team Langer.

Taking advantage of strategic moments, Team Woods capitalised on the par-five third, and Tiger himself added an eagle at the par-five fifth. The duo continued their momentum, with Charlie's impressive drive at the 355-yard seventh and a skilful chip-in from off the ninth green, adding to their birdie count.

Noteworthy was the presence of Woods' 16-year-old daughter, Sam, who served as their caddie, contributing to the familial bond on the golf course. Reflecting on the experience, Tiger Woods expressed gratitude, stating, "To have both my kids out there the last two days has been so special."

Team Woods kicked off the back nine with a birdie and went on to secure four more in a row from the 13th hole. The memorable week concluded with another birdie at the par-five last, underscoring the family's strong finish in the tournament.

The spotlight, however, belonged to Team Langer, as Bernhard Langer and his son Jason claimed a record-equalling fifth victory in the PNC Championship. Their final-round 59, featuring 13 birdies, positioned them two strokes ahead of Team Duval, with Team Singh, the defending champions, securing third place.

Bernhard Langer's historic win marks his fifth triumph in the event, joining Raymond Floyd as the only other five-time winner. Team Goosen secured a solid fourth-place finish on 21 under, rounding out the top performers in a competitive field.
