Alison Lee made history with her remarkable performance at the Aramco Team Series in Saudi Arabia, culminating in a sensational seven-under-par final-round 65 that secured her an astounding eight-shot victory.

The 28-year-old American golfer not only claimed the title but also shattered records in the process. Lee's incredible 29-under 187 over 54 holes set a new scoring record on the Ladies European Tour, establishing her as a dominant force in the tournament. Her nearest competitors, Spain's Carlota Ciganda and England's Charley Hull, were three and eight shots behind her, respectively.

Reflecting on her outstanding achievement, Lee shared her thoughts, stating, "I've played some really good golf this week and putted even better. I hit almost every green, gave myself plenty of birdie opportunities, and made a lot of them count with aggressive, confident play. I had a lot of fun out there, and I'm delighted with the win because any tournament is difficult to win."

Lee's journey to victory was characterised by consistent excellence. She shot consecutive rounds of 61 on Friday and Saturday, breaking the 36-hole record and surpassing the previous record held by Scot Kylie Henry from the 2014 Ladies German Open by a remarkable five strokes. Her performance at the Aramco Team Series marked her as only the second player in Ladies European Tour history to secure a title without dropping a single shot, a feat previously achieved by Italy's Diana Luna at the 2011 Ladies German Open.

Reflecting on her extraordinary achievement, Lee expressed her disbelief, saying, "It's surreal to think I played that well. Shooting 11 under over the first two days, I've obviously never done that in my career. I feel like for three days I played really confident golf. Coming off a really good week last week [as runner-up at the BMW Ladies Championship] gave me a lot of confidence coming into this week."

Alison Lee's stellar performance and record-breaking victory have cemented her place in the annals of golf history and have left fans and fellow golfers in awe of her skill and determination.
